Wood's Powr-Grip is pleased to announce a new breed of below-the-hook vacuum lifter, the MRTALPCH611LDC. The MRTALP series offers several unique benefits to the materials handling industry: The combination of a thin vertical profile, mechanically assisted tilt mechanism, reduced lifter weight and high lifting capacity is unparalleled.

The low-profile design of this series provides ease of use in work locations where space is at a premium. This feature was inspired by customers who requested a way to lift glass between scaffolding and buildings during high-rise window installations. It also allows operators to maneuver materials between tight vertical storage racks.

In addition, the MRTALP lifters minimize operator effort needed to tilt loads 90° between flat and upright positions, reducing the need for multiple operators, as well as the chances of operator injury. The mechanical advantage that minimizes operator force also drastically reduces the potential for load kickback when the vertical tilt latch is released. A tilt latch is standard for MRTALP lifters, to secure the pad frame in the upright position while the load is in motion.

Constructed of lightweight but strong and durable materials, the MRTALPCH611LDC has a low lifter weight while boasting a maximum load capacity of 1,100 lbs. [500 kg]. Additional handling benefits are seen through the ability to remove the outer two vacuum pads and the ability to rotate 180° edgewise with three locking positions. The dual vacuum system, also standard for the MRTALP series, provides added safety. It features a 12-volt DC power system, enabling installation in the field where a power source may not be available. The MRTALPCH611LDC comes equipped with six 11" [28 cm] lipped vacuum pads. Other standard features include vacuum pad blow-off, low vacuum warning buzzer, green lift light, on-board battery and charger, battery energy gauge, vacuum gauges, vacuum line filters, vacuum reserve tanks and spring-mounted vacuum pads. All in all, the MRTALPCH611LDC is a very well equipped and capable lifter.
