Wood's Powr-Grip is proud to announce the addition of yet another product to their line-up of photography, video and sporting goods mounting products: The Nukklehead is a new mounting solution that can be used by photographers, videographers and sportsmen in the field. It features a Bogen/Manfrotto 155 head mounted atop a Wood's Powr-Grip 6" [153 mm] vacuum cup and is also available with a 4-1/2" [115 mm] vacuum cup as the Nukklehead Jr.

With a load capacity rating of 8.9 lbs [4 kg] (Bogen/Manfrotto head rating), the Nukklehead is an ideal mounting solution for cameras, camcorders, scopes, or any other equipment that supports a standard 1/4-20 tapped receptacle. It comes with a black aluminum accessory mount for durability and stability. A single side lever on the Bogen/Manfrotto 155 allows the operator to quickly release and tighten the double ball joint head for rapid repositioning, panning, tilting and rotating. The versatile head sports a screw-down side receptacle for convenient mounting of a small photographic umbrella. Flip the head's platform over and the Nukklehead easily accommodates a forward-facing, low-profile camcorder for recording video while driving.

At the heart of the Nukklehead's power and stability is the reliability of the Wood's Powr-Grip vacuum cup mounting system. The vacuum cup mounts solidly to any smooth, nonporous mounting surface, whether flat or curved, down to a radius of 12" [305 mm]). Each cup features a red-line indicator that visually warns of any vacuum loss. If the red line appears during use, a built-in check valve allows re-pumping without loss of remaining vacuum. To release the cup, simply lift one of the two tabs on the vacuum pad edge for instant mobility.
