Answering the call from customers and dealers alike, Wood's Powr-Grip has become a RAM® Mounts authorized dealer, in order to provide greater selection in our Equipment Mounting product line.

Because of increasing demand for mobile mounting solutions, Wood's Powr-Grip has designed mounting cups that work hand in hand with a variety of products manufactured by RAM® Mounts. Applications for just a few of these products include the mounting of GPS units, cell phones, cup holders and PDA's in motor vehicles, boats and tractors.

A Component Based System

The foundation of the new product line is comprised of Wood's Powr-Grip mounting cups, specifically the 3" [8 cm] TL3PB1 vacuum cup, the 4-1/2" [11 cm] LJ45PB1 vacuum cup and the 6" [15 cm] TL6PB1 vacuum cup. These cups come equipped with a 1" [2.5 cm] polycarbonate ball. The poly ball is also available separately with a 1/4-20 threaded stud or tap for mounting customer supplied equipment, or with an accessory contact plate for mounting cameras, video cameras, spotting scopes, and other equipment that is designed to mount on a 1/4-20 threaded stud.

Once you have selected the size and style of vacuum cup for your application, the next step is to add the appropriate components from RAM® Mounts. Wood's Powr-Grip stocks three sizes of double socket arms (1-3/4" [4.5 cm], 3" [7.5 cm] & 5-3/4 " [13.5 cm]), two sizes of flexible arms (6" [15 cm] & 12" [30.5 cm]), a cup holder and a universal holder.

With all the different combinations of double socket arms, flex arms, studded or tapped polycarbonate balls, holders, adapters, cups with poly balls, and cups with studs, the possible combinations are nearly limitless ... and potentially very confusing! Suffice it to say that Powr-Grip offers a mounting system for just about any kind of device you may need to mount. Putting these combinations into words is much more complicated than a visual reference. A typical mounting system may look like this:
