Wood’s Powr-Grip® has recently introduced a new feature that makes its below-the-hook vacuum lifters more versatile and useful. New Pad Mount Extensions are now available for many Powr-Grip lifters that are equipped with movable pad mounts, including the MRT4-DC and the MRTALP611LDC vacuum lifters.

This new option allows operators to attach the vacuum lifter to windows with mullions or other loads with similarly raised obstructions or design features on the contact surface. No tools are required for installation: A cotterless hitch pin makes installing and removing each Mount Extension fast and easy, while maintaining all necessary safety standards. Since the design increases the distance between the load and the vacuum lifter frame, adding Mount Extensions may reduce the lifting capacity for certain lifters.

In the same way as Movable Pad Mounts, Mount Extensions are designed for pad frames with a tube width of either 2" [51 mm] or 2-1/2" [63 mm]. The Mount Extensions may also be purchased with extension tubes of different sizes, as noted in the chart below, in order to extend the Movable Pad Mounts different distances from the pad frame. In addition, each Mount Extension is adjustable, to produce a greater or smaller extension distance, as required for your specific application.
