Vertical Lifters for Glass Production by Wood's Powr-Grip®
Vertical Lifters attach to vertically-oriented glass surfaces, allowing movement of glass from place to place in the upright position. Overhead hoists or cranes provide the upward and downward movement of the vacuum lifter. A Vertical Lifter is used when rotation and tilt are not required for load positioning.
VLGG109AC & VLGG1011LAC • Vertical Lift Gentle Giants 1200 & 1800
The Gentle Giants are designed to produce optimum support when handling large-dimension lites. The T-shaped frame of these vacuum lifters distributes glass weight equally, providing rigidity and stability across the glass surface. A removable control pendant provides easy access to the vacuum release button when glass size requires the vacuum lifter to be higher than the operator. 1200 lbs [545 kg] or 1800 lbs [815 kg] capacity.
VLPL49AC & VLPL411LAC • Production Line Vertical Lifters 500 & 700
Attaching to glass in just seconds, these compact vacuum lifters provide speed and mobility for production line handling. The VLPL49AC and VLPL411LAC Vacuum Lifters are most often used when transferring glass products between upright processing machinery and storage racks. Shutoffs to the upper vacuum pads allow these vacuum lifters to handle lites that are smaller than the pad frame. 500 lbs [225 kg] or 700 lbs [320 kg] capacity.
VL411LDC • Vertical Lifter 700
In order to handle a wide variety of glass sizes, this economical vacuum lifter combines compact size and relatively high lifting capacity. A 12-volt/DC power system allows cord-free operation of the vacuum lifter wherever AC or compressed air power is not readily available. The on-board power system also allows this vacuum lifter to be used for installations or in multiple shop locations. 700 lbs [320 kg] capacity.
VL3000L & VL3000S • Vertical Lift Hand Cup Frames
These vacuum lifters offer the ultimate in economy for handling large glass. Hand-held vacuum cups can be removed in seconds, when needed for other uses. Hand Cup Frames are well-suited for loading and unloading glass trucks, as well for fabrication operations where rotation and tilt are not required. The frame that holds the vacuum cups is available with either a long center arm (VL3000L) or a short center arm (VL3000S). When used with Powr-Grip's N5450 Vacuum Cups, capacity is 375 lbs [170 kg].
