Achieving ISO 9001 Certification

In April of 1998, Wood's Powr-Grip realized its goal to become an ISO 9001 certified company. ISO is the International Organization for Standardization , a nongovernmental entity that promotes world-wide industry agreements on effective quality management and publishes them as international standards. ISO 9001 Certification applies to organizations that design, manufacture and distribute their own products. In order to earn and maintain certification, companies must document and consistently follow quality procedures for all jobs relating to customer service and the manufacturing process. Compliance with the standard is completely voluntary and is verified by independent auditors.
